Centre Manager

The Centre Manager is the most senior position in our centres and they are responsible for the smooth day to day running of the programme. This includes; client and staff management, accommodation, catering, finance, setting high standards and liaising with suppliers.

Academic Event Manager

The Academic Event Manager is responsible for ensuring that the BEO competition elements run smoothly and are judged accurately and fairly by the judging teams. This is a challenging role which requires strong organisational skills, a commitment to customer service and the ability to maintain high work standards under pressure.

Activity Manager

The Activity Manager (AM) is a highly responsible and challenging role. The AM is responsible for the social programme for the students, planning and implementing a range of onsite activities as well as the cultural excursions. The AM line manages the Activity Leaders.

Competition Judge

Competition Judges are fully-qualified English teachers and responsible for delivering six hours of workshops and judging the performances of teams following the competition guidelines. This is not a traditional EFL teaching role and it offers the opportunity to use teaching experience in the unique context of a language competition.

Competition Host

Competition Hosts are ‘Master of Ceremonies’ during the competitions. They must be confident public speakers, have experience of delivering presentations and excellent communication skills. They also undertake duties to help the AEM as well as lead activities and excursions.

Activity Leader

Activity Leaders run and lead the social programme, consisting of onsite activities and cultural excursions, as well as set-up and supervise the academic events. They are enthusiastic, outgoing and love working with young people. It is not a 9-5 job so flexibility and adaptability is key.

Director of Studies

The Director of Studies is responsible for the academic management of the centre and ensuring the teaching and learning components of the programme are delivered to the highest possible standards. A DoS must have good interpersonal skills, a high level of relevant teaching experience and excellent organisation skills.

EFL Teacher + Business EFL Teacher

EFL Teachers follow a general English syllabus and prepare students for the Trinity GESE exam. The Business EFL Teachers deliver interactive lecture-style Business English lessons which support the programme’s competition element.

Assistant Activity Manager

An Assistant Activity Manager (AAM) with Oxford International Junior Programmes is an integral part of Activity Programme, providing the Activity Manager with the necessary support of coordinating the centre’s action packed on-site activities and cultural excursions.
