Competition Stages

Qualifying Round

At each of our campuses, schools will be divided into two competition groups of 8-12 teams. All teams will deliver two presentations, one is the ‘board room’ style in front of judges with the second being ‘open audience’ in front of all teams. Board room focuses on the written business plan that teams must present to the judges, with open audience being more focussed on presentation of the pitch and student’s language skills. The two different presentations ensure that student’s ideas and pitch are given the same importance as their language skills and written work. The top teams from each campus go forward to the Grand Finals.

Grand Finals at Eton College

The top teams from each campus will have to present again to all-new judges from a business background from the previous round, with judges scoring based on presentation skills and the ideas behind the pitch. More importance is given to how well the idea would do in a real-world business environment. Awards are available for Best Presentation, Best Brand or Idea, & more as well as overall competition winners and runners-up.

*Competition structure will depend on final number of students, centres and teams.

Judging & Prizes

The Judges

Expert judges are chosen from among the successful entrepreneurs, business teachers and business people.

Grand Final & Prizes

The top teams who qualify for the Grand Final will make their final pitch to a panel of Business experts. The panel judges each business proposal and crowns the Oxford International Global Business Champion!

Grand Award Ceremony & Prizes

The finale of the annual Global Business Championships is the glittering closing awards ceremony, which will take place at a world-famous London venue and is attended by VIP guests.

Cultural Programme

Our well-rounded excursion programme achieves a great balance between education, cultural value, relaxation and sheer fun.

Enjoy two extended full-day visits to London, and a full-day in Oxford or Cambridge, and a full-day visit to Windsor.

Students will go on one business visit to a British company. On a guided tour of one of their departments, they will gain a deeper understanding of the business world and different industries. For example, past trips have included tours of the Jaguar Land Rover, Stamford Bridge Stadium, Silverstone Formula 1 among others.
